Morocco Creates World Cup History As An African Country

Unshakable Morocco have created World Cup history by beating Portugal with a 1-0 scoreline in the quarter-finals of the FIFA World Cup 2022. It was the first time an African country won a quarter-final match in the World Cup. Similarly, Morocco is the first African country to reach the World Cup semi-finals.

Morocco have continued their strong and unshakable defensive approach in the FIFA World Cup 2022 quarter-finals as Portugal also failed to break the deadlock, who just beat Switzerland by 6-1 in the Round of 16 of this tournament.

In this entire competition, the African side “the Atlas Lions” have conceded only one goal and that was also an own goal against Canada in their last game of Group F. So, the opponents haven’t scored a goal against this African side in this tournament yet.
