Charlotte Hornets are the team owned by Michael Jordan, a struggling club in the eastern conference. Currently out of the playoff picture, the hornets are one of the teams who are down in the dumps right now. Though they have the advantage of having Michael on their side, unfortunately it is not in a capacity as a player but as an executive.
The team traded away their star player in Kemba Walker and signed multiple free agents to long term deals. One of them being a multi-year deal to Terry Rozier and their rookie sensation Devonte Graham.
The Hornets had their glory days when Alonzo Mourning, Larry Johnson and Muggsy Bogues were in the league in the 90's. Muggsy Bogues, one of the shortest players to ever play the game and two powerful bigs who could shoot and finish at the rim. Their chemistry on the court was sub-par.

Since then the only success they've had is when they reached the playoffs but were knocked out in the first round. The Hornets front office did try to add some star power around Kemba by adding Dwight Howard but we're unable to gather any success and led to negative morale in the team locker room.
Since then, the Hornets have gone downhill and are planning for the future. They have some hopes in Devonte Graham and the much needed cap space they have created by not signing big names in the free agency. The Hornets will be out of playoff contention for a couple of years but have high draft picks in the upcoming draft. You never know, the Hornets may end up signing another Zion Williamson-like superstar player that might turn the franchise around but those odds are highly unlikely.
If only Jordan could lace up again.
