The Sri Lankan off-spinner Ajantha Mendis holds the record for best bowling figures in the ODI Asia Cup history. During the Asia Cup 2008 Final, Mendis had the match-winning bowling figures of 8-1-13-6 against India at Karachi.

Sri Lankan captain Ravi Ratnayeke holds the best bowling figures record by the captains in the ODI Asia Cup history. During the Asia Cup 1988 against Bangladesh at Dhaka, the right-arm pacer Ratnayeke recorded the bowling figures 8-1-23-4.
