Mahendra Singh Dhoni is an Indian right-handed Wicket-keeper batsman who retired on 15th Aug, 2020 from International Cricket. He is currently playing IPL for his team Chennai Super Kings. He played his first professional match for Bihar in the Ranji Trophy of 1998. Although Bihar failed to reach quarter-finals of the tournament time and time again, his performances earned him a spot in the national side in 2004. After the debut in the Kenya series, his real domination started from a match against Pakistan in 2005, and he ended up with the highest individual ODI score of 183 runs. Thus, officially became the ICC number one batsman in ODIs the following year. There was no looking back as India clinched three ICC tournaments under his captaincy: the 2007 T20 World Cup, 2011 ODI World Cup, and the 2013 Champions Trophy. In the Indian Premier League, CSK bought him for a record of 1.5 million dollars in 2008. He has led CSK to three IPL titles as well.
