The Indian cricket team is ready for another eventful year, 2023. It is going to be another crucial year for Team India, as they have commitments for some crucial events.
The Indian cricket team will start their journey in the year 2023 with the home white-ball series against Sri Lanka. Soon, they will also host the white-ball series against New Zealand.
Then, India will host the Border-Gavaskar Trophy as this four-match Test series between India and Australia will be a part of the 2021-2023 ICC World Test Championship.
The inaugural ICC World Test Championship runners-up India are eyeing to participate in the one-off ICC World Test Championship Final and win this ICC title at The Oval, London.
Later, India have a schedule for a full tour in the West Indies, where they will also start their journey for the 2023–2025 ICC World Test Championship.
While Pakistan will host the Asia Cup 2023 (ODI format), the most successful team in this competition, Team India’s participation is doubtful. However, if the tournament venue shifts from Pakistan to any regular place, the Men In Blue are likely to play.
After hosting an ODI series against Australia, India will host the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023. It is the biggest challenge for Team India in the year 2023.
After the Cricket World Cup, Australia will stay in this country for a T20I series.
India will say goodbye to 2023 with a complete tour in South Africa, which will continue till January 2024.
