Poland announced their 26 men squad for the European Championship. Portuguese coach Paulo Sousa will be wishing his side to make the most of their chances in his first major international competition. This will be goalscorer Robert Lewandowski's fourth major international tournament for Poland.

Lewandowski reached Gerd Müller's 40 goal scoring record in a single Bundesliga season and is on course to break it. His insane scoring tally just gets better season after season and with his age. The all-time top goalscorer of his nation, Robert will be wishing blood in his form for the national side now. Poland's hope of doing the unthinkable solely rests on his shoulders. The 33-year-old has been criticized often for not turning up on big games but since then he has proven them wrong. Lewandowski is desperate to make this Euro of his own.

Strength (Lewandowski)
There is no bigger strength for Poland than sustaining the best striker on the planet at the moment. Robert Lewandowski will be eager to score a handful of goals in the Euro to add to his established status in world football. There is a chance for him to build on something huge for his nation at a competition of such pedigree. He will get the linkman in Napoli's Piotr Zielinski that can play in balls for him in the required space for him to score. Although, Lewa has evolved to a more team player in the recent seasons to help out more and raise the bar of his scoring to an even greater level.
Weakness (Defense)
As much as Poland are proud of their attack and the midfield, the same can't be felt about the back four. The Eagles don't have the greatest names in that department and are looking for Kamil Glik to be the leader. He is currently plying his trade for Benevento. His partner in the defense, Jan Bednarek has been a regular player at Southampton but has a lot of mistakes in him. Others are young CBs making their debut in the competition. Altogether, the defense doesn't look to be a stable one.
Poland will be hoping their frontline helps them get over the line. Their defense may not be the glamorous part of their squad but they are capable of derailing oppositions. Lewandowski is their biggest hope and the icon of his country is all set to offer his scoring magic in the tournament.
