A Right Back of Congolian descent who plays for Crystal Palace in the Premier League had a breakthrough 15 months of his career under Roy Hodson where he has established himself as one of the Premier League’s most elite Right Back. His maturity on the field has earned his spot in starting 11 of the squad and played all the 38 matches in the 2018 – 19 Premier League season.

He is currently under radar of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer who’s the Manager of Manchester United to potentially bring in fresh legs in the squad and potentially to replace aging Ashley Young. After another below-par season and failing to qualify for the Champions League, Manchester United and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is revamping the squad and is eyeing Wan – Bissaka. But, is this 21-year-old Right Back worth the hype.

Currently priced at £45million which could rise to a potential £50m, having played just 46 games and 1 full season at the Premier League, will he give justice to the price tag?

Wan – Bissaka is currently considered to be statistically best tackler in Europe’s Top – 5 Leagues where he has successfully tackled 91 times which averages to almost 1 tackle in every 24 minutes of playing time. In Premier League season 2018 – 19 only seven players have dribbled passed him which includes - Leroy Sane, Bernardo Silva, Sadio Mane, Felipe Anderson, Luciano Vietto, Johann Berg Gudmundsson and Stuart Armstrong. Even the football’s finest dribbler Eden Hazard was stopped by Wan – Bissaka.

Solskjaer was keen on this player when the Red Devil’s narrowly escaped a defeat at the Selhurst Park, the home of the Crystal Palace where he lauded his energy and how Wan – Bissaka is an asset to the club.

However one of the drawbacks comes in his play is the inaccuracy of the delivery i.e. the ball crossing accuracy which is just 21.4% which could be a concern in some of the pivotal situations when the game comes to a close.

But, a youngster who was got in the team due to 12 team members of the team were out injured has proved himself and has emerged as one of the lethal Full Back and has priced himself £45million in just 16 months. There should be no reason that this rise would stop now. Let us now see how will he fare himself at Manchester United.
