Mumbai Indians are the IPL team which have hit the most number of sixes in IPL history. In just 217 matches they have hit this number of sixes which means around 6 sixes per match which is absolutely staggering. They have been blessed to have big hitters like Kieron Pollard, Hardik Pandya, Rohit Sharma etc who have contributed much of these 1318 sixes and there is no doubt that in the upcoming seasons of the IPL, they will hit many more sixes and soon reach 2000 sixes in the IPL.
2. Royal Challengers Bangalore (1280 Sixes):
The next team after Mumbai Indians which have hit the most number of sixes are the Royal Challenges Bangalore with 1280 sixes in just 210 IPL matches. This is sensational for any team in any league in the world but it should not be much surprising because they have had players like Chris Gayle, AB De Villiers, Virat Kohli etc who are known for hitting many sixes whenever they play an IPL match. A team which had hit the third most sixes not winning the IPL even once says a lot about the quality of the teams and the players involved in all the teams. The Punjab team has smashed 1187 sixes in 206 matches which comes down to a very impressive 5 sixes per match. The Punjab team has had great players over the years like Virender Sehwag,Glenn Maxwell, KL Rahul etc who love hitting big sixes and helping the team win Matches along the years.
4. Chennai Super Kings (1174 Sixes):
The mighty CSK team are the number 4 team to have hit the most number of sixes in the history of the IPL and that is considering they had been suspended for 2 years and still to hit this many sixes is amazing to see. Big hitters like MS Dhoni, Ravindra Jadeja, Dwayne Bravo, Faf Du Plessis etc and they have won the IPL 4 times and there’s no doubt that they might even climb up the ladder in this list. The Kolkata knight Riders are the 5th team who have hit the most number of sixes in the history of the IPL. They are a team that is loved by all and are also Two time champions and they have had players like Andre Russell, Sunil Narine, Robin Uthappa etc who have hit so many sixes against various IPL teams and won KKR lots of matches over the years. They are a team that can easily hit more Sixes and reach in the Top 3 of this list in the future.
