1. Biopic on Saina Nehwal: Saina (2020) - 


Saina Nehwal, who is the first Indian badminton player to win an Olympic medal (bronze in London 2012), will soon join the likes of Mary Kom and MS Dhoni who have their biopics made in Bollywood. Bollywood actress Parineeti Chopra has begun preparations for her role as Saina Nehwal in the upcoming biopic of the Indian badminton star. The film will be directed by Amol Gupte.

 

2. Abhinav Bindra unnamed biopic - 



Harshvardhan Kapoor is all set to play Abhinav Bindra in his biopic. After months of speculation, the Abhinav Bindra biopic has finally got a green signal from Harshvardhan. And the film is set to go on floors soon.

 

3. Biopic on Murlikant Petkar - 


Murlikant Petkar, who won a Paralympic Gold medallist in 1972, set a world record in the 50m freestyle swimming and also participated in the javelin, precision javelin throw and slalom events. Sushant Singh Rajput is attached to the play the role.

 

4. Kapil Dev Biopic: 83 (2020) - 


 

Talking about cricketers, how can we miss the Captain under whom the Indian Cricket Team for men won their first World Cup? Yes, a biopic on Kapil Dev is also to be made and it will have none other than Ranveer Singh portraying the legendary cricketer!

Jhund is based on the life of Vijay Barse, the founder of an NGO called Slum Soccer. Amitabh Bachchan essays the role of the retired sports professor who motivates street children to form a football team.




6) Jersey (2020) 


 

Jersey is a Hindi movie starring Shahid Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur in prominent roles. It is a drama directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri with Allu Aravind, Aman Gill and Dil Raju as producers, forming part of the crew.

 

7) Toofan (2020)


 

Toofan is a Hindi movie starring Farhan Akhtar and Paresh Rawal in prominent roles. It is a drama directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra.

 

8) Biopic on Syed Abdul Rahim, Coach and Manager of Indian National Football Team 1950-63 | Maidaan (2020)


 

Maidaan revisits and tells the story of the time period regarded as the golden era of Indian football. The film captures the various angles that made the decade from 1952 until 1962, the most remarkable in Indian football history.
