Bayley has had a lot of ups and downs in her career like most other people have in their careers but she always persevered and came out stronger than before. Let’s look at the journey of Bayley till now and look ahead to her future as well.

The Ultimate Babyface in NXT

When Bayley debuted in 2014, she immediately became the favorite of the WWE universe because of her being so relatable to all of the fans and she was one of the very best wrestlers of that era be it make or female. She started winning matches and beating the heels to the joy of millions of her fans and this slowly propelled her to the top of the card in every show. She got better in her promo work so she was the total package for the fans and they wanted her to succeed. Then came NXT Takeover Brooklyn in 2015 where she had the best women’s match of all time and won the NXT Women’s championship and became the top superstar. She would continue to defend her title against different opponents putting on classic matches.

Main roster Debut

In 2016, a year after the other Three Horsewomen debuted at Raw she debuted at a PPV match where she was the surprise partner of Sasha Banks and the fans lost their minds and again she became a fan favorite. She would solidify herself and eventually win the Raw Women’s championship and have great matches with Charlotte, Sasha Banks, Asuka etc. She was at the top and everything seemed ready for her to take the next step in her career because after a while her face run got stagnant and she needed a change in her character.

The Heel Turn and the success after that

On an episode of SmackDown in October 2019, she had a women’s championship match and when she came out and smashed her Bayley buddies and to get fully into the new character she chopped her hair off and from this night started her rise to the top of WWE as The Role Model. While she was enjoying this heel run ,came the biggest shock of all, Covid and she had to adjust her character to no fans at all she was the star of the Covid era of WWE. She had amazing championship matches against everybody she wrestled and her promo work got incredibly good during Covid. She was the perfect example of turning adversity into opportunity. The fans respected her even more during this time and she reached the top of WWE.

Looking ahead

Currently Bayley is injured since July 2021 due to an ACL injury and it was heartbreaking for her because just before the fans were to return to WWE events , she got injured and has not yet got the chance to perform in front of fans and she will be itching to get back and stake her claim to be the best. She is peaking at this time and there’s no doubt that after her return everyone else needs to watch out and all the fans are hoping that she returns at the Royal Rumble in 2022 and wins it. She is the only Horsewoman to main event WrestleMania and 2022 might be her year to do it.
