1) Lex Luger (523 Days)

Lex Luger is at the top of the longest reigning United States Champions in WWE history and he has a good 150 day lead from the number 2 person in this list. He held the United States Championship from March 1989 till October 1990 and during this time he cemented himself as the greatest United States Champion of all time and it has been 35 years and his record has not been broken yet and it does not look like the record will be broken anytime soon. Lex Luger is a WWE legend and his contribution will never be forgotten.

2) Ravishing Rick Rude (378 Days)

At number 2 is the Ravishing Rick Rude who held the United States Championship for 378 days and he held the title for more than a year and he geid the title from November 1991 till December 1992 and he had to give up the title due to injury and if not for that injury he would have had a much longer reign and he would have challenged the reign of Lex Luger. Rick Rude was a wrestler who was way different from anybody else and thus the fans loved him.

3) Dean Ambrose (351 Days)

Dean Ambrose who is now known as Jon Moxley has held the United States Championship the longest in the modern era and he held the title for 351 Days which is the 3rd longest reign of all time and this reign was not one of the best because he rarely defended the title. He held the championship from May 2013 and lost it in May 2014. The hope is that he should have had more title matches to defend the title. Hopefully someone breaks his record soon .

4) MVP (343 Days)

If the reign by Dean Ambrose was not so good then this reign by MVP was the opposite because this is one of the best United States Championship Reigns of all time and MVP held the title for almost a full year and this reign brought back the prestige of the United States Championship and he had numerous matches for the championship when he was the champion. He was the champion from May 2007 to April 2008. MVP is not an active wrestler anymore but he is one of the best managers out there.

5) Nikita Koloff (328 Days)

At number 5 is this man who was a faux Russian and he was the United States Champion for more than 320 days and his reign is such that nobody remembers him or his title reign but since he is at number 5 so he will be a part of this list and his Reign is among the worst of all time and he held the title from 1996 to 1997.
