The match was mostly in control of Angle, who was smashing HBK all over throughout the entire match. Angle was destroying the Sweet Chin Music and trapped Michaels in an ankle lock that made HBK tap out. WrestleMania 21 gave us a lot of great moments, but Angle and HBK were the best match.

Tables, Ladders, and Chairs. It seems so obvious now, but before this match the fans never knew the real soul of a TLC match. At WrestleMania X-Seven, Jeff Hardy simultaneously put two men through two tables and the most known spot in the match came when Edge speared Jeff Hardy, who was hanging from the championship belt almost 16 feet in the air. The game ended with Edge and Christian getting the win, but all three teams delivered in the classic match. The attitude era’s two most favourite superstars faced each other in the main event of WrestleMania X-Seven. WWE universe know this match as the end of the Attitude Era. The Rock and Austin (Stone Cold) knew how to impress the fans and tell a story in the ring because, as a fan, it felt like we were watching two superstars of wwe who wants to be the number one wrestler.

In this match, we got to see Austin have to work really hard and he even use the million-dollar dream move from when he was going by the Ringmaster. But, The Rock wasn’t going to make it easy for Steve Austin. He made sure that Austin worked for the win. This was not expected by the many fans back then, but the question now because it really wasn’t needed.

"The only match I've ever watched that made me shouting as if both wrestlers are listening to me. The outcome could not be predicted by anyone. The crowd, the love for Punk and the hatred for Cena. The ending was classic, not a single error by either man, perfect match."

The duo went back and forth for a couple of minutes before John Cena took control of the match. John Cena delivered two Attitude Adjustments, but CM Punk recovered soon. The 'Best in the World' punched Cena's ribs, causing him to fall out of the ring. As CM Punk rolled John Cena back into the ring, Vince McMahon and John Laurinaitis emerged to distract CM Punk. John Cena saw an opening and placed CM Punk in his STF hold.

Vince McMahon then signalled referee to award Cena the match, but John Cena got out and attacked Laurinaitis. After John Cena returned to the ring, CM Punk delivered the Go to Sleep (GTS) and pinned him to win the WWE Championship. McMahon then called Money in the Bank winner Alberto Del Rio to cash in his contract on CM Punk. But, CM Punk performed a roundhouse kick on Del Rio, saving his championship.
