You guys already know who we're going to talk about today. It's none other than the 2020 NBA champions, the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Lakers have it all. And by all I mean the two most complete players you could ask for in Anthony Davis and the king, LeBron James. But apart from these two, the Lakers not only have a good starting lineup, in fact they've got one of the strongest bench players in the league.

The Lakers literally bulldozered over every other team this playoffs. Be it the Rockets, Nuggets or the Heat. Winning a championship this year was crucial. Because this championship was for Kobe. Earlier this year, the Lakers legend Kobe Bryant passed away in an accident with his daughter Gianna. So it was a no brainer for LeBron to kick in his beast playoff mode and get this championship for Kobe.

As the playoffs went on, not just James and Davis but the whole Lakers team played their heart out every game in the bubble.

Davis, though plays power forward but is versatile enough to guard the center and small forwards on the other team as well. And for a bigman, Davis is an excellent ball handler, all due to his 10 inch growth spurt that kicked in during his college years, turning him from a guard to a forward. Davis had a lot of big games and game changing plays along with a buzzer beater 3 against the Denver Nuggets, to which his coach called it a 'Mamba mentality shot'.

And what can I say about James that isn't already out there. Playing the small forward position, LeBron can literally guard any position on the floor. His secondary position after small forward is easily being the point guard for the team because of LeBron's high basketball IQ. He sees passing lanes that no one else does on the court, he can shoot the 3, run the ball, finish on the fastbreak and even stop the other team's fastbreak offense single-handedly due to him being the best chase down shot blocker in the league. LeBron has the ability and talent to do it all. He has been one of the most complete players the league has right now and has been for the past 8-10 years or so consistently. The amount of work that LeBron puts in his game and his body to stay top-notch is beyond amazing. Because everyone knows LeBron has an extremely high work ethic and puts in the grind everyday.

The last Laker championships were under Phil Jackson with the late Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol. The Lakers won back to back championships in 2009 & 2010. And if you have recollection of any of it, it was Kobe doing Kobe things and single-handedly get the city of purple and gold their back-to-back championships.

Coming back to what the Lakers will be like the next season or so, I don't think the Lakers need any big roster changes to stay in the hunt. Infact, the whole Lakers roster has developed an excellent chemistry both on and off the court and I'd be surprised to see any major changes in the roster.

All the Lakers have to do is just stay focused and I believe they'll make the not just the playoffs but the  NBA finals once again. Though I wouldn't be surprised to see a Lakers vs Clippers western conference finals in the coming future and that is going to be a thing to see. But for now, the Lakers are once again at the top of the league and will be till any other team dethrones them.
