It was a game that has set the tone for who could be the potential NBA Champions for 2021. Phoenix Suns take a commendable lead against the Eastern Conference Champions Milwaukee Bucks now trail 0-2 heading to Milwaukee.

The Bucks had an incredible 1st half rally where they showed their defensive prowess. Giannis plus Jrue Holiday combo was just hitting the spots in the 1st half. The Bucks had a 9-point lead at the end of the 1st half, but the comeback was inevitable.

Here are the few takeaways from the game

Devin Booker is the next ‘Kobe’

Booker did not have a good game as he went cold at the start of the 1st half, where he scored just 4 out of the 12 shots he took in the 1st half. He just had 10 points in the 1st half, where most of the scoring was by CP3 and Mikal Bridges.

However, he took over the game in the 2nd half and scored 20 points in the 2nd Half, where he had a 3-point exhibition at a certain time and closed out the game with Game-high seven 3-pointers at 48% shooting from the field.

Giannis Antetokounmpo will have to be a hit in the next game.

As the series goes to Milwaukee, Giannis cannot rely on the back-court of Middleton and Jrue Holiday, Jrue was excellent in his defense, but Middleton was nowhere to be seen.

It was the 3rd Quarter, where Giannis scored 13 straight points to close in the game and had 20 points. Giannis had 42 points off 15 of 22 shooting but still was not enough to take the team through the line at Pheonix

A Backcourt Failure for the Milwaukee Bucks.

Giannis faced a similar situation when he outperformed the whole team in Game 5 against the Atlanta Hawks, and still did not manage to strike a win due to the poor show of Khris Middleton and Jrue Holiday. All-Star back-court duo managed to score a combined 28 points and 11 assists with a poor 32% shooting.

The inability in staying clutch during crunch time has haunted Bucks throughout the season and it did happen today when they were being outscored by the backcourt of Chris Paul and Devin Booker, where they scored a combined 54 points.

Sun’s 3-pointers Haunted the Milwaukee Bucks

Pheonix suns scored 20 Three-pointers of the 40 attempted, Devin Booker led the Three pointer charts with Seven made.

If we compare it with the Bucks, the Bucks had a dismal show from beyond the arc. They scored just 9 out of the 31 attempts taken at 29% shooting. They have very poor from beyond the arc, where the Bucks have just averaged 31% combined in Game 1 and Game 2

It’s a do-or-die situation for the Milwaukee Bucks now, if they lose Game 3, they might have already lost out on the championship. Will CP3 finally get his hands on the Trophy? Or will the Former MVP spoil the night for Suns Fans?

Game 3 is scheduled on Monday at 5.30 in India and will be streaming on Star Sports.
