Probably, the best team in Pakistan's cricket history was the 1990s team. From fast bowlers to world-class rounders, a legendary spinner, and some of the most destructive opening pairs, it was very rare to have this amount of ‘equilibrium’ back in the 90s teams had with every weapon in his Arsenal.

As an aficionado watching this two nations rivalry from childhood, I always thought why team India didn't have the same stuff of ‘equilibrium’, when two nations were just living almost close to each other.

Due to political issues and Kargil war many planned series were canceled at the last moment, as a fan, I always admired this Pakistan team when they go against any other cricket playing country.

The most stylish and flamboyant left-handed batsman ever in the subcontinental region Saeed Anwar, when he was on the full flow with his awe-inspiring wrist making stroke ability, it was difficult to give his wicket.

The young Shahid Afridi had the ability to score quick runs In the early days of his career but the knock that ‘shell-shocked’ the cricketing fraternity across the globe was his 100 runs in just 37 balls. In the era of deadly bowlers, Shahid Afridi was the greatest attacking batsman of that era.

While in the middle order, the Pakistan team had more stability and experienced players like Ijaz Ahmed, Aamir Sohail, and Inzamam-ul-Haq that defined the consistency with their batting in the team. The all-rounder's department was completed with Abdul Razaaq and Azhar Mahmood not they had good bowling but they were exceptionally good at bowling and won matches for the team.

In the form of wicketkeeper Moin Khan was the best wicketkeeper in Pakistan cricket history, not just batting good but he was equally good behind the stumps too.

The god gifted instincts of the Pakistan team were the bowling unit and with the pacers like Wasim Akram, Waqar Younis, and Shoaib Akhtar they had formed the most destructive bowling sides in the 90s and feared to be faced by the opposition teams. The fast bowlers were enough to befuddle any team but still, if any opposition teams looking for a way out to score runs, the legendary Spinner, Saqlain Mushtaq won’t let it happen with his magical spin variations.

The most destructive Pakistan team, who could befuddle any team even in its prime. Here is my favorite Pakistan team

Saeed Anwar

Aamir Sohail

Shahid Afridi

Inzamam-ul-Haq

Azhar Mahmood

Wasim Akram (c)

Waqar Younis

Shoaib Akhtar

Saqlain Mushtaq

Abdul Razaaq

Moin Khan (w)
