242* vs Sri Lanka in Wellington (2015)

The Beauty of this knock is not only in the fact that this is a big double hundred by a great batter against a very good team bur the circumstances in which it came in makes this one of Kane Williamson’s best ever knocks. New Zealand conceded a first innings lead of 135 runs to Sri Lanka and all looked lost but then came the maestro and he slowly started building the innings and he batted almost 10 hours and made an incredible 242 runs which not only helped New Zealand recover very well but they also beat Sri Lanka in that test match by 193 runs and that innings cemented the stature of Kane Williamson as an all time great of New Zealand cricket.

He showed all his class and skills as he hit 14 boundaries and helped New Zealand win that match by 5 runs and that innings is a special one for all his fans as well.
