Visitors South Africa made a remarkable comeback in the T20I series against the hosts Australia, as the Proteas claimed a dominant victory, mainly thanks to the youngster Dewald Brevis, who slammed a powerful century.

Just like the three-match T20I series opener, Darwin also hosted the second T20I, where the Australian captain Mitchell Marsh chose to field first after winning the toss, while leading the series 1-0. Thanks to the powerful century of Dewald Brevis, who scored 125 not out off 56 balls, South Africa recorded their highest T20I total against Australia, 218/7 in 20 overs.

In reply, only three Aussie batters managed to reach the 20-run mark in the chase, including the half-centurion Tim David (50), as Australia were all out for 165 runs in 17.4 overs. South Africa won the match by 53 runs, which was their largest victory margin (by runs) against Australia.
