England and Pakistan are all set to face off in a crucial Super Eight encounter in Pallekele. It is an important match for Pakistan as their first game was abandoned due to rain, and they need to win this to stay in contention. England started their Super Eight stage with a win over Sri Lanka, and they will more or less qualify for the semis if they win this game.
The clashes between England and Pakistan are always interesting to say the least, especially in the T20 format. The last time that these two sides met in a T20 World Cup was in the final of the 2022 edition, which England won courtesy of Ben Stokes' heroics. The British have the edge as they have won all three games they have played against Pakistan in the T20 World Cups.
But before the all-important fixture, let’s have a look at the top run-scorers in T20Is between England and Pakistan, shall we:-
Top run-scorers for Pakistan vs England in T20Is

Another player who has done well against England in this format is Mohammad Rizwan. In 14 innings, Rizwan has scored 560 runs, which includes six fifties. His average is also up in the high 40s, but he has fallen out of favour and is not part of the Pakistan squad for the T20I World Cup, owing to poor form with the bat in recent times.
3: Mohammad Hafeez - 324 runs
Mohammad Hafeez is the third-highest run-getter for Pakistan against England in T20Is with 324 runs in 14 innings. He averaged 24.92 against them and has a highest score of 86*, which he scored in 2020.
Top run-scorers for England vs Pakistan in T20Is

He has a highest score of 67* against the Asian nation and has done relatively well against them.

Kevin Pietersen, or KP, loves playing against Pakistan, and he showed it in the shortest format of the game. He played just 8 games against them and scored 348 runs at an average of 69.60 and a strike rate of 133.84. It included four fifties with a highest score of 73*, which he scored in the 2010 T20 World Cup.
3: Jos Buttler - 297 runs
