The International Cricket Council (ICC) has officially announced the ICC U19 Men’s Cricket World Cup 2024 tournament, where we will experience a new format. Here we are going through the details of the ICC U19 Men’s Cricket World Cup 2024 complete schedule.
Once again, the ICC U19 Men’s Cricket World Cup 2024 will be a 16-team competition, which South Africa will host for the third time. This 15th edition of the tournament will run between 19 January and 11 February 2024.
Although Sri Lanka was the original host of the ICC U19 Men’s Cricket World Cup 2024, South Africa has been awarded the hosting rights after the suspension of the Sri Lanka Cricket Board (SLC). However, Sri Lanka will participate in the forthcoming youth CWC.
While four groups have been created for the Group Stage, with four teams in each group, we will now experience a Super 6 stage in the next step.
A total of 12 teams (top three teams of each group) will advance to the Super 6 stage, where two groups will have six teams each. All the teams will play two games each in the Super 6 stage (details below), while the top two teams of each group in the Super 6 stage will qualify for the Semi-finals.
Willowmoore Park, Benoni, will host the Final of the ICC U19 Men’s Cricket World Cup 2024 on 11 February 2024.
Record-holder five-time ICC U19 Men’s Cricket World Cup winners India will participate at the ICC U19 Men’s Cricket World Cup 2024 as the defending champions.

A total of 12 teams will participate in the Super 6 stage, where both groups will have six teams each. All the top three Group A and Group D teams will qualify for the Group 1, and the top three teams of Group B and Group C will advance to the Group 2.
In the Super 6 stage, each team will carry forward the number of points, match results, and net run rate, which they have earned against their fellow super-six qualifying teams in the Group Stage.
In the Super 6 stage, each team will play two games only against the opponent from the corresponding group that finished in a different Group Stage position. It means that A1 will face D2 and D3 in the Super 6 stage, but will not play against D1. Similarly, A2 and A3 will not compete against D2 and D3 respectively.

ICC U19 Men’s Cricket World Cup 2024 Semi-finals
The top two teams of each group in the Super 6 stage will advance to the Semi-finals. In the Semi-finals, Group 1 champions will face Group 2 runners-up, and Group 2 champions will play against Group 1 runners-up.
