South Africa is ready to host the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2023. It is the eighth edition of this competition, and South Africa is hosting it for the first time.

It will be the fifth consecutive time this tournament history to run with ten teams. Five-time winners Australia Women are the defending champions in the WT20 WC 2023, while South Africa Women are the hosts.

Apart from the other two past one-time WT20 WC champions England Women (2009) and West Indies Women (2016), India Women, Pakistan Women, Sri Lanka Women, New Zealand Women, Bangladesh Women and Ireland Women are also participating in the WT20 World Cup 2023.
