After an incredible Test Series, India and England go head to head again for a 5 match T20I series.

Pre math -

The Indian T20 side comes to the series having won 2-1 away in Australia. England on the other hand hammered South Africa 3-0. Both the sides are in a hot run of form as a team.

Squads -

India's T20I squad: Virat Kohli (capt), Rohit Sharma (vice-capt), KL Rahul, Shikhar Dhawan, Shreyas Iyer, Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya, Rishabh Pant (wk), Ishan Kishan (wk), Yuzvendra Chahal, Varun Chakravarthy, Axar Patel, Washington Sundar, Rahul Tewatia, T Natarajan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Deepak Chahar, Navdeep Saini and Shardul Thakur.

England T20I Squad: Eoin Morgan (capt), Moeen Ali, Jofra Archer, Jonny Bairstow (wk), Sam Billings, Jos Buttler (wk), Sam Curran, Tom Curran, Chris Jordan, Liam Livingstone, Dawid Malan, Adil Rashid, Jason Roy, Ben Stokes, Reece Topley and Mark Wood.

T20 World cup effect -

India will host the T20 World cup later this year. Both BCCI and ECB have organised a rare 5-Match series with the World Cup in mind. Both the teams are going to approach the series with one eye on the World cup. England rested players from time to time in the test series to ensure availability for the T20s and build a fixed team for the upcoming tournament.

Indian batting coach Vikram Rathour in a press conference said "The [T20] World Cup is in India, so I just want the batting unit to get settled basically. By the time we finish this series, we should know, 'this is the team which is going to play the World Cup'. So hopefully that will happen in this series. I am already sure that there wouldn't be too many changes anyway, because we are a pretty settled unit at the moment. But in case somebody loses form or somebody gets injured, as a batting unit you just want to get settled now."

Predictions -

The result might come down to the hoe the pitch plays and the team selection of the teams. India would be the favourites by a slight margin because of home conditions.
