Indian Women's team played South Africa in the 2nd ODI at the BRSABV Ekana Cricket Stadium. Indian Women's team came back strongly after a major setback in the first match. Mithali Raj won the toss and elected to bowl first. India made one change as Mansi Joshi made her return to the side replacing Monica Patel. South Africa on the other hand remained unchanged.

Post-Match analysis -

India got off to a great start after Jhulan Goswami trapped Lizelle Lee in front in the first over. South Africa kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Captain Sune Luus and Lara Goodall were the only two batswomen who got a decent start but even they could not convert their starts. The Indian captain managed to rotate her bowlers well. Most of the bowling changes made by Mithali Raj got wickets for the Blues. The Proteas could only manage a mere 157 runs before getting bowled out in the 41st over.

The in-form Smriti Mandhana anchored the Indian chase Scoring 80 off just 64 balls. Poonam Raut provided incredible support as she scored 62 runs. India chased down the total in less than 29 overs with 9 wickets in hand.

India levelled the series with 3 ODIs, giving a much needed confidence booster. The first two matches are an indication of how important the toss is and will be for the remainder of the series. The 3rd ODI is scheduled to take place on the 12th of march in Lucknow.
