List of emerging female cricketers

India A (women) played 3 ODI match series against Bangladesh A (women). The series led to the recognition of few players as promising, who can be a full-time part of India Women's senior team.

Even though we would want to watch our favorite players play cricket life long, it is not possible they will play forever. The stage needs to get passed on. But how can it be assured that the stage is passed on to capable and safer hands? 


The India A (women) tour of Bangladesh, for 3 ODIs and 3 T20s, has definitely proved that there are great players in making who would represent India in women's cricket after a few year’s time. India dominated the 3 match ODI series with a 3-0 win. The side showed ruthless, relentless and all-round performance throughout the series. 

 

The top performers who came out shining were:

 

  • Nuzhat Parveen: This 23 yr old is a keeper-batswoman. She is a handy top-order batter who scored 51 not out in 1st ODI against Bangladesh. She is considered as MS Dhoni of women's cricket. Her overall One Day matches – 31, runs scored-407, Highest Score-74.


  • Tejal Hasabnis: She has an average of 40 in ODIs. She is a solid right-hand batter with a clear vision of techniques. Her overall One Day matches– 36, runs scored-726, Highest Score-148, Wickets-25.


  • Devika Vaidya: Captain of the team, this all-rounder has a strike rate of 70.41. This left-handed batswoman scored 42 runs and took 2 wickets in the 2nd ODI against Bangladesh in this series. She is also to captain Emerging Asia Cup in Sri Lanka. She was also the part of T20 squad World Cup of 2018. She is a vital cog in the team with the bat as well as the ball.


  • The strong bowling attack which dismantled Bangladesh throughout the series. The bowling attack included Minnu Mani, Manali Dakshini, TP Kanwar and captain Devika. During the second ODI, Bangladesh was on 19 with 5 wickets down, thanks to India's strong bowling attack. Minnu Mani has a total of 26 ODI wickets, TP Kanwar has a total of 151 ODI wickets.


  • Apart from Nuzhat Parveen, other top-order batswomen are, S.Meghana, Devika Vaidya and Tanushree Sarkar.
