T20 Cricket is the most popular form of cricket these days and the audience love it because it gives them big sixes and huge scores by teams. It is also short so not much time is taken to complete a T20 match as well. The players also like playing this format because it allows them to express freely and score at a high pace.

There are some individual performances in T20 Internationals that take our breath away. One singular performance sometimes takes the match away from the opposition and the are left thinking what hit them. People also remember such innings and especially when it’s hit in an international match playing for the country. Therefore it would be interesting to see the Top 5 Highest Scores by Individuals in T20 Internationals.

Aaron Finch ( 172):

This incredible knock by Australia captain Aaron Finch is the highest score by a batsman in a T20 international match. This monster of a knock came against Zimbabwe on the 3rd of July 2018. He destroyed the Zimbabwe bowling to all parts of the ground and hit 16 fours and 10 Massive sixes. The bowlers were searching for answers for this onslaught but they had none. Such was his Dominance in this innings that he outscored the entire Zimbabwe team by 43 runs in the match. The Zimbabwe Bowlers unfortunately would not be able to forget this hammering anytime soon. It was a treat for every cricket fan other than the fans of Zimbabwe to watch this masterclass from a great batter.

Hazratullah Zazai (162):

The match in which Hazratullah Zazai smashed this score is also the match where the Afghanistan team scored the most team runs in a T20 international. This innings by Hazrat was a special one and it came against Ireland on 23rd February 2019. The Ireland bowlers were bowling and Hazrat was sending the ball outside the boundary with ease and he hit 16 huge Sixes to add to the misery of the Irish bowlers. They were clueless as they were leaking runs left right and centre. He showed no mercy and it’s sure that the Irish would not be able to forget this beating so easily.

Aaron Finch (156):

Aaron Finch and high scores in T20 Internationals seems like a love story better than Twilight. This time the victims of his devastation were the Aussies favorite rivals that being England. This happened in 2013 but I am sure the English team have not forgotten it 8 years later. That day he took England to the cleaners as and  he hit 14 sixes and 11 fours across the ground and hit a smashing 150. Aaron Finch has a knack of hitting big hundreds and as fans it’s always special to watch him.  Hope he hits more hundreds but not against India.

Glenn Maxwell (145*):

It’s the time of Glenn Maxwell this time and the opponents were Sri Lanka and this happened in 2016. He smashed 145 runs in just 65 balls with 14 fours and 9 huge maximums. It was a special innings to watch and it showed the world why Glenn Maxwell was a special talent. The fans want to see more innings like this

Louis Petrus Van Der Westhuizen (145):

This is a player very few cricket fans must have heard of. He has played one of the all time great knocks in T20 Internationals. He plays for Namibia and he played this sensational innings against Kenya in 2011 where he hit 14 fours and 12 sixes and pummeled the bowlers to all parts and making history in the process.
