Sri Lanka Women are dreaming of creating history in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026, which England and Wales are set to host between 12 June and 5 July 2026. 


ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026: Sri Lanka Women Qualification

While Sri Lanka Women finished outside the top six (fifth position in Group A) of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024, they still managed to directly qualify for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 through the rankings. Outside of the hosts and the top five other teams in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024, the top two ICC Women’s T20I Team rankings (as of 28 May 2026) could earn direct qualification for the 2026 edition, and Sri Lanka Women were in seventh position in the rankings to earn the direct qualification.
