USA defended 122 runs against the hosts Oman
It was the crucial ODI between the hosts Oman and the visitors USA, as the match was part of the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup League 2. After Oman chose to bowl first at Al Amerat Cricket Ground Oman Cricket (Ministry Turf 1), the USA were all out for 122 runs. Among the American batters, only Milind Kumar managed to reach the 20-run mark with a valuable 47 not out off 82 balls with six fours.
Among the Oman bowlers, Shakeel Ahmed (3/20) took three wickets while Aamir Kaleem (2/22) and Samay Shrivastav (2/41) got two wickets each. Jay Odedra (1/23) and Siddharth Bukkapatnam (1/11) picked up one wicket each, and the last batter Nosthush Kenjige was run out for a duck.

Lowest defended ODI total: USA broke India's 40-year-old record
While the USA defended the 122-run target, they beat India’s previous record of the lowest defended total in an ODI match without reducing any overs of the match. During the Rothmans Four-Nations Cup 1985 opener between India and Pakistan in Sharjah, India were all out for 125 runs, and Pakistan were later bundled out for only 87 runs.
