218/4, hardly there is anyone who does not remember this scorecard when team India defeated England at kingsmead Durban of the inaugural T20l World Cup in 2007 by 18 runs. This scorecard is even more special as the former team India middle order batsman Yuvraj Singh made himself into the history books with the 6 sixes in an over of Stuart Broad.

Before Yuvraj Singh there were only the three times batsman in the history who have hit 6 sixes in an over, one was south Africa opening batsman Herschelle Gibbs who had hit six sixes against the associate nation in the 50-over of 2007 World Cup while the other two batsman were Ravi Shastri and Garry Sobers who had smashed six sixes in an over who hardly anyone remember I believe expect some die-hard cricket fans.

But Yuvraj Singh innings came at the time of do and die situation for team India against England who was the far better team from the current England team in almost every department. Although there was some heated argument between Yuvraj Singh and Andrew Flintoff in between the overs which had triggered the emotions of the left handed batsman before he unleashed himself like never before. Still there were the reactions it was fluke from Yuvraj Singh to play such whirlwind innings against England which was the result of that argument only.

Really was that the fluke from the batsman like Yuvraj Singh who was the genuine match-winner for team India in the limited overs cricket success. Yuvraj Singh is now retired from cricket and currently playing for India legends in the road safety world series where he has hit back to back 4 sixes against two teams in less than a period of week. In the on-going series, Yuvraj Singh first against South Africa legends has hit 4 sixes in 4 balls to help India legends to qualify for the semi-finals when he scored 52 runs off 22 balls.

While in the yesterday semi-final match against West Indies legends after India legends was forced to bat first and was at 140/3 in the 14.1 overs before Yuvraj Singh walked in to add his final touch into the scorecard. Until the 19th over Yuvraj Singh has only managed to score 9 runs but Mahendra Nagamootoo over saw the glimpse of left-handed batsman whirlwind batting for the second time in the tournament when Yuvraj Singh hit four sixes in the 19th over of bowler.

Yuvraj Singh remained unbeaten on 49 runs off 20 balls alongside Yusuf Pathan who scored 37 runs off 20 balls to help India legends to post 218 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. In response, West Indies legends was very much in the chase with 118 runs for the loss of 1 wickets in 10.4 overs but Wicket of Dwayne Smith (who scored 63 runs off 36 balls) triggered the collapse for West Indies legends and opened the floodgates for team India to derailed the chase.

Brian Lara did score quick fire 46 runs off 28 balls alongside Narsingh Deonarine who scored 59 runs off 44 balls to go close to the target but only managed to score 206 runs in their allotted 20 overs and lost the semi-final match by 12 runs. India legends have qualified for the finals which will be played on 21 March against one of the teams from the second semi-final between Sri Lanka legends and South Africa legends.
