In the second Semifinal of the Women’s T20 Asia Cup 2026, Sri Lanka Women dramatically beat Pakistan Women to advance to the Final, where they will defend the title against the record-holder seven-time Women’s Asia Cup champions (three-time Women’s T20 Asia Cup winners) India Women.
After Sri Lanka Women chose to field first in the second Semifinal in Dubai (DICS), Pakistan Women were restricted to 130/5 in 20 overs. Sri Lanka Women chased down the target in 18.4 overs after losing six wickets.

She hit four fours and two sixes in that captaincy knock.
Among the Lankan bowlers, Chamari Athapaththu (2/24) and Chamudi Praboda (2/25) got two wickets each, while Sugandika Kumari (1/20) got one wicket.

Struggling at 33/4, where only the opener Imesha Dulani (24) managed a double-digit score among the top four batters, Harshitha Samarawickrama and Kavisha Dilhari patiently built a strong game-changing 67-run partnership for the fifth wicket. Harshitha scored 36 off 31 balls with two fours, while Kavisha scored a run-a-ball 33 runs with four fours. Pakistan captain Fatima Sana once again shone with the ball, as she ended with the bowling figures of 3.4-0-38-4. However, she hardly got enough support in the game, as the Player of the Match winner’s brilliant all-round performances were far from enough.
