Rahul Tewatia in Godlike

One of India’s premier Esports companies, GodLike Esports, are pleased to announce the signing of one of India’s fastest-rising cricketers, Rahul Tewatia. He’s been a fan favorite for decades and is renowned for his innovative spin bowling. With the Indian Premier League (IPL) around the corner, along with the World Twenty20 Cup and other mammoth tournaments, these signings will help boost headlines for what promises to be an exciting year in Indian cricket as well in the Esports community.

Tewatia has no gaming or esports background, which came as a surprise because GodLike primarily focuses on esports and gaming talent with rosters in Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) , Code of Duty Mobile (COD:M), and Free Fire. Tewatia started off playing Domestic Cricket for the Indian state of Haryana. He made his first batting appearance for the Rajasthan Royals in 2014's IPL. Known for his trademark power-hitting, Tewatia finished his innings having scored 53 runs—all of them including from 6 sixes—where he blew away the Punjab Kings bowlers with 1 over to spare. Just two years later, he won a 9-crore deal with Gujarat Titans in IPL 2022 's mega auction, picking up where he left off as a rising star in domestic cricket.

Recently GodLike Gaming, a Mumbai based esports organization, has announced that they've signed Rahul Tewatia to their content creator lineup. This is no surprise as Tewatia might be the most prominent Indian streamer out there today. Still this move shows the growing interest in professional cricket stars hopping over to streaming Fortnite Battle Royale and other games. We hope to see more cricket stars follow this trend and make it into the booming industry of esports.

GodLike Esports is a second-generation organization originally founded by Chetan “Kronten” Changude. During his early days as an amateur player, Kronten frequently started up teams to compete in the popular game PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG) during the 2018 Asian Games. This eventually led to him becoming a professional player and well-known content creator for PUBG Mobile with Godlike as his new home. The family continues to improve their infrastructure with every passing day as they strive to expand into other games in the esports industry!
