New Zealand vs India third ODI | Sports Social Blog

India haven't been at their best against New Zealand in ODI cricket out of late. The Men in Blue have not won against the Kiwis in the last five ODI meetings. This includes the World Cup warm up match as well as the high-profile semi-final clash. Now, Virat Kohli and company have lost the three-match series against a second-string New Zealand side without the likes of Trent Boult, Matt Henry and Kane Williamson. In the post-match presentation of the second game, the Indian skipper hinted that India could try backup players in the third match.

New Zealand will be boosted by the return of Kane Williamson, who was seen practising in the nets in the second match itself. The Black Caps will definitely be looking to clean sweep the series and give one right back to the Indian side after some dismal performances in the T20 series. The Kiwis don't have a great record at Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui and have not won an ODI match except for a game with Sri Lanka. Click here to make your own dream team on Dream11.

CYS Fantasy Team for the NZ vs IND 2nd ODI

Players to watch:

Ross Taylor: Ross Taylor has held the fort for the team in both the matches. While his quick hundred ensured a victory in Hamilton, it was his sensible innings in the second ODI that eventually proved to be a match winning knock yet again. The experienced batsman has a great record at the venue and his last six knocks in Bay Oval includes 330 runs at an average of 55.

Martin Guptill: Guptill scored 79 runs at his home ground in the previous match and would be high on confidence now. He is the leading run-scorer in Bay Oval in ODIs. He averaged 43.37 runs in the eight games at this venue which includes two hundreds and a fifty.

Prithvi Shaw: He will open for India and has been brilliant for the India A side for some time now. He is a hit or miss type player but will fetch you some great points when on song. He could prove to be your trump going into this match.

Yuzvendra Chahal: The leg spinner picked up three wickets in the last game and has already picked up four wickets on this ground. He will be looking to pick up right from where he left off in the last game. He would just be the perfect pick for the NZ vs IND 3rd ODI Dream11 team.

Pitch Report: The pitch in the last T20I game was on the slower side. However, the deck at the Bay Oval is generally batting friendly. Don't be surprised if you see a high-scoring contest in Mount Maunganui.
