Fantasy premier league differentials predictions - GW5
Defenders
Ibrahima Konaté (Liverpool, £5.5m)
Imagine getting a Liverpool defender at just £5.5m who starts most games, it almost sounds too good to be true. That's what you get with Ibrahima Konaté though, who is a top fpl differential pick for GW5 if your main preference is just to get some basic clean sheet points from a regular starter in a top 3 side. Liverpool will be facing rivals Everton in the Merseyside Derby at Anfield in Gameweek 5, and we expect a tight game where Liverpool win narrowly. Additionally, Konate is just owned by 3.2% people, thus making him a gamble worth taking for the price paid.
Maxence Lacroix (Crystal Palace, £5.0m)
Maxence Lacroix continues to prove himself as an underrated fpl differential pick who's providing solid returns in the form of clean sheet points. He is currently of the best £5.0m price range FPL defenders out there, and is especially an attractive pick for GW5 since Crystal Palace will be facing a West Ham side who have been nothing less than absolutely horrible. He currently only has an ownership of 3.9%, and it would be a smart move to put him in your team before an eventual price rise.
Midfielders
Martín Zubimendi (Arsenal, £5.4m)
Martín Zubimendi was signed by Arsenal from Real Sociedad to operate as a defensive midfielder. This would also facilitate Declan Rice to push more forward and utilize his attacking abilities. However, what we didn't know until Premier League Gameweek 4 was that Zubimendi himself had an underrated attacking ability to his game. The Spanish international scored 2 goals against Nottingham Forest, and one cannot bet for sure that he might not do it again versus Manchester City. If you're willing to take a huge risk, Zubimendi is a fine FPL differential for GW5.
Moisés Caicedo (Chelsea, £5.6m)
Moisés Caicedo is a unique FPL player when you consider that he could still provide you with decent points without even scoring or assisting in a game. He is excellent when it comes to aspects such as defensive contributions and earning bonus points. The Ecuadorian also pops up with a goal every now and then as well. Chelsea will be facing Manchester United away in Gameweek 5, and the Red Devils have one of the worst Midfields in the Premier League. This guarantees at least a dominating performance from the Chelsea Midfielders, and it's highly likely Caicedo gives you a minimum return of 4 points after the game.
Forward
Nick Woltemade (Newcastle United, 7.0m)
We had made a bold prediction in our previous best FPL differentials article that Nick Woltemade might be a high risk choice that gives you big rewards. That is exactly what happened in GW4, as he scored the only goal in his debut to help Newcastle beat Wolves. They will be facing Bournemouth away next, and we expect Woltemade to continue his fine start to the Premier League against the Cherries. With ownership still just at 2.5%, we consider him one of the best FPL differentials for Gameweek 5.
