We are here with our best forward picks this week for Gameweek 4 of FPL. With FPL Gameweek 4 approaching, Fantasy Premier League managers have plenty of interesting forward options to consider. Several strikers are entering the weekend in excellent form, while some premium forwards have particularly favourable fixtures that could lead to huge FPL hauls.
Scroll down below to find out our top five best FPL forwards to buy for Gameweek 4.
1. Erling Haaland — £15.5m
Erling Haaland facing Manchester United away might initially look like a difficult fixture for FPL managers expecting a big return from the Norwegian.
However, a look at his record against United tells a completely different story.
Haaland has scored eight goals and provided three assists in seven Premier League appearances against Manchester United. That is an extraordinary record and should be enough to convince managers that the fixture isn't necessarily one to fear.
Manchester United have also endured a poor start to the Premier League season, which could provide Haaland with even more opportunities. Given his incredible record in this particular fixture, the Manchester derby could be another occasion where the Norwegian delivers a huge FPL haul.
2. Alexander Isak — £9.1m
Alexander Isak is slowly beginning to look like his best self under new Liverpool coach Andoni Iraola.
The Swedish striker has scored three goals across his last two Premier League games, suggesting that his confidence and sharpness are returning at exactly the right time for FPL managers.
Liverpool welcome Fulham to Anfield in Gameweek 4, and this looks like a terrific opportunity for Isak to continue his scoring run. Fulham have been in poor form and have struggled defensively, while Liverpool are becoming increasingly dangerous in attack.
With Isak now finding the net regularly, there is every reason to believe he can make it three consecutive league games with a goal. At £9.1m, he offers an appealing combination of premium quality, current form and fixture potential.
3. Yoane Wissa — £6.2m
Before the season began, we mentioned that FPL managers could potentially see a completely different Yoane Wissa this campaign.
Fast forward to the present, and that prediction appears to be coming true, at least for now.
Wissa has been improving with each passing game and looks increasingly dangerous in attack. His performances have made him one of the most appealing budget forwards in FPL, particularly for managers who need to save money to strengthen other areas of their squad.
His Gameweek 4 fixture against Leeds also provides plenty of encouragement. Leeds can be difficult to break down at times, but Wissa's current form gives him a realistic chance of producing another attacking return.
At just £6.2m, Wissa is our best cheap striker pick for Gameweek 4 and could prove to be excellent value if his current trajectory continues.
4. Kai Havertz — £7.5m
Kai Havertz is simply unstoppable at the moment.
The Arsenal forward produced a performance for the ages against his former club Chelsea, showcasing exactly why he can be such a dangerous FPL asset when playing with confidence.
Havertz has already scored two goals in his first three Premier League games this season, and his form makes him extremely appealing heading into Gameweek 4.
Arsenal travel to face Sunderland, and this looks like another fixture in which Havertz could have plenty of opportunities to make his presence felt. The Gunners are expected to dominate possession and create numerous chances, while Sunderland haven't made the strongest start to the campaign.
Havertz's current form combined with the favourable fixture gives him a huge chance of delivering another strong FPL return.
5. João Pedro — £7.7m
João Pedro endured a disappointing performance against Arsenal, but FPL managers shouldn't be too concerned.
Instead, Gameweek 4 presents him with the perfect opportunity to remind everyone why he is regarded as one of the best strikers in the Premier League.
Chelsea face Hull City at home, and this is exactly the kind of fixture in which Pedro can explode. Chelsea should dominate the game and create plenty of opportunities, giving their attacking players an excellent chance of returning big FPL points.
At £7.5m, Pedro is also considerably cheaper than the most expensive forwards, making him an attractive option for managers looking for both value and a high ceiling.
This is the type of fixture where João Pedro could potentially produce a double-digit FPL return.
Best FPL Forwards for Gameweek 4
There are several excellent forward options heading into Gameweek 4, but Haaland, Isak, Wissa, Havertz and João Pedro all stand out for different reasons.
Haaland offers the highest explosive potential, Isak combines form with an excellent fixture, Wissa provides outstanding budget value, Havertz is in sensational form, while João Pedro has the perfect opportunity to bounce back with a huge haul against Hull.
