ENG-W vs ESP-W Match Preview
It took another dramatic comeback victory for England to book their place in back-to-back Euro finals, with Michelle Agyemang scoring a 96th-minute equaliser and Chloe Kelly capitalising on the rebound from her saved penalty to overturn a 33rd-minute lead by Italy in the semifinal tie. Considering they were facing early elimination after losing the tournament opener against France, only to overturn it with big wins over the Netherlands and Wales and then again beating Sweden in a dramatic penalty shootout from 2-0 down in the first half, they deserve every bit of it. The Lionesses will now play in a third straight major competition final, with their manager, Sarina Wiegman, overseeing a record fifth consecutive final. The Dutch mastermind will aim for her third successful Euro crown as a manager, while retaining the trophy will make England only the second side in the competition's history to defend their title. The holders will be determined to reignite the euphoria they generated on their home soil in 2022, but face the current best side on the planet, who beat them to the World Cup crown two years ago and also in the Nations League ahead of the Euros to make their place in the finals of that competition. Alessia Russo scored the opener until a Claudia Pina second-half brace overturned the result in that encounter, but having made a series of comeback wins themselves in this edition, they will not want such a scenario to play out. England has defeated Spain in the previous two Euro meetings, including a 2-1 comeback win in extra time of the quarterfinal tie in the last edition, which is a streak they are willing to maintain to create their own dynasty in the competition.
Germany put up a strong fight against Spain in the semifinal, but Aitana Bonmati’s near-post finish, deceiving the best goalkeeper in the tournament, Ann-Katrin Berger, seven minutes from the end of extra-time, eventually lifted La Roja to their first Women’s Euro final in history. The side now stands a chance to add a third silverware on the trot after adding the 2023 Women’s World Cup and the Women’s Nations League last year to their cabinet, further strengthening the force they have become in Women’s football so quickly. They aim to replicate what the men’s team have done by winning the World Cup and Euros in back-to-back fashion, but for that they need to beat the holders, whom they haven’t beaten in this competition since 2013 when Alexia Putellas scored a stoppage-time winner in a 3-2 group-stage victory. They beat England to win the historic Women’s World Cup and face the same scenario of defeating the same opponents to win their first Women’s Euro title, being favourites to do so. Spain has been ruthless in this edition of the competition, winning all their games with an aggregate of 17-3 and are the only side not to have lost a game. La Roja has maintained a 10-game winning run since last suffering defeat to the Lionesses themselves in February 2025, which was also their only loss since the Olympics last year, but will be wishing for a different result to that on Sunday at Basel.

ENG-W vs ESP-W Dream11 Match Prediction
It will be a close fight between the two best sides in women’s football currently, but Spain is expected to have a slight edge in their battle with their sprawling attack, capitalising on the defensive vulnerability, England has been unable to shake off. Another decider in extra-time is expected with La Roja claiming their first Women’s Euro title with a 2-1 win.
