This past GW proved to be a bit subversive as there were a lot of major and popular players that did not deliver on points. The usual suspects like Kevin De Bruyne, Mo Salah, etc did not score the gargantuan points we are accustomed to seeing. On a positive note, Raheem Sterling seems to have returned to his FPL peak after his value went below 12.0. The relentlessness continues as we inch closer to the end.

Here are the top picks for GW 36+:

1. Anthony Martial(MID; Man United v Crystal Palace):

Martial has produced a whopping 9 goal contributions in the last 6 games. He managed 13 points in the draw against Southampton. Crystal Palace is not in decent form. He’s going for 8.4 and given the form on display that’s in bargain territory.

2. David De Gea (GK; Man United v Crystal Palace):

Might be a bit of an oddball pick. De Gea goes for 5.3 which is not exactly among the cheapest of Goalkeepers. He’s still highly ranked among Goalkeepers in FPL. The advantage here is the fact that Crystal Palace is among the lowest-scoring teams in the Premier League. The only team that is scoring lower is Norwich. This makes him a decent prospect for GW 36+.

3. Christian Pulisic(MID; Chelsea v Norwich):

Norwich is ranked at the very bottom of the League. They have also conceded the most no. of goals. Pulisic has managed 6 goal contributions in the last 6 matches. He has been a crucial part of Chelsea’s attack. He goes for 7.3 and that makes him a rather economical buy given the damage he can dish out.

4. Raul Jimenez (FWD; Wolves vs Burnley):

Over time, Raul Jimenez has shot up to 8.1 and that hefty price-point still makes him a great buy. He scores very frequently and is one of the best forwards in terms of points. Among the highest-scoring squads in terms of points, Burnley has conceded the second-highest no. of goals which makes him an even better buy for the week.

5. Diogo Jota (FWD; Wolves vs Burnley):

He may not generally be as high scoring as someone like Jimenez but he’s a great buy if you want to pour less money into forwards. Jota is a great buy for 6.0 and he even scored in the previous match, which pushed him past 100 points. He will not take a penalty from conceding. An effective choice if you want to prioritize midfield and defensive spending.
