And so we move on to the penultimate gameweek of the Premier League. And it seems that these last two weeks are going to be just as tense. Liverpool had an unexpected loss last week against a struggling Arsenal and that goes to show that an air of unpredictability still hovers around the Premier League. The average points for GW 36 was a mere 35 points with the highest just being 105.

With all that taken into perspective, here are the best picks for GW 37+ in FPL

#1. Neal Maupay(FWD; Brighton v Newcastle):

Very solid bang for buck forward going only for 5.7. He’s had a decent point tally at 124 and is coming off of scoring 9 points in the last game. So far he has had 12 goal contributions. Brighton and Newcastle at 15th and 13th respectively with both of them scoring the same amount of goals for the season.

#2. Jamie Vardy (FWD; Leicester vs Tottenham Hotspur):

It goes without saying that the match against Tottenham is far from a cakewalk. Vardy is one of the more expensive players at 9.4 but he’s one player that has certainly earned that valuation. He is the top scorer in the Premier League and has managed to score 34 points in the last 4 games. Tottenham might score with Son in the attack but thankfully he will not receive any sort of penalty for conceding.

#3. Enda Stevens (DEF; Sheffield United vs Everton):

Despite the recent hiccups, Sheffield are well within reach of a top 6 position on the Premier League table. Aside from Liverpool, Sheffield has conceded the least amount of goals in the top 10. Enda Stevens has managed to score 15 points in the last 3 games all of which were against top 6 teams. After a long time, Sheffield are up against a team that is outside that hypercompetitive top 8 space and as a result Stevens is definitely someone to consider at the cheap 5.2 price tag.

#4. Matt Doherty (DEF; Wolves vs Crystal Palace):

Aside from Norwich, Crystal Palace is the lowest scoring side in the PL. This makes Matt Dohery a potentially important buy. Even in the previous game he managed 4 points because of an assist. He has had 11 goal contributions which is very high for a defender. He is going for 6.4 and is one of the top defenders. There’s just a lot there to warrant a transfer to your team.

#5. Ashley Westwood (MID; Burnley vs Norwich):

This midfielder with 100+ points bagged is going for just 5.5 and would be a smart addition to most teams. He has been fairly consistent with 9 goal contributions throughout the season. On top of that, he is up against the bottom ranked Norwich. He had a great performance against this team in the first game of the season where he managed 8 points. Given the price-point and his performance in the previous match against this team, Westwood is hard to pass up.
