JFC vs HFC Match Preview
Jamshedpur FC slipped to the bottom three of the ISL table after a disastrous evening at Fatorda where they lost 3-0 to FC Goa. The home side left no mercy on the pitch as they collected their third win in four games and left the Men of Steels empty-handed for the second time this season. To make matters worse, Eli Sabia was substituted after half-time with an injury concern adding more worries to the defense that has conceded seven goals so far this campaign. Adrian Boothroyd’s side was so poor in the game that they only managed 31% of the ball in their possession, the second-lowest in the league this season after their own record of the lowest 29% possession against Mumbai City. This regressive way of approaching games will worry Adrian Boothyrod’s men as they prepare to take the holders Hyderabad FC, in excellent form this season, at home. The Shield Winners did beat the ISL champions 3-0 last season with the other ending as a draw but have turned their whole setup in the team since those achievements at the same time when the Nizams have gone strength to strength with their success in the final following up the momentum in this campaign. Jamshedpur FC’s only victory till now has come against basement side NorthEast United prior to the defeat to Goa and their 1-1 draw against Mumbai City FC last month is the only other point taken this campaign. That draw could serve kind of inspiration that the Men of Steels have the attributes to keep a top side quiet but the proof of that will should be made on the pitch rather than relying on the narratives alone.
When Men of Steels lost their Shield-winning manager, Hyderabad FC retained their coach and his philosophy as well as all the key contributors helping with their achievements last season. Manolo Marquez has shown he is one of the best in his business and someone whom the players are ready to sweat for on the pitch. The ISL success last season was not taking a back seat for the squad but a hunger to achieve more this season. Dominating both in attack and defense, Hyderabad FC are showing no signs of slowing down. With another 1-0 win in three of the five ISL games, Odisha FC being the latest victim of it, the Nizams showed their tenacious nature again often described as victories that champions take. Mohammad Yasir scored the winner in the last game maintaining the queue of spreading goals across the playing members of the team and not just Bartholomew Ogbeche who didn’t even make the eleven against the Juggernauts yet they were the same. This will be the fear factor for other teams around as Hyderabad FC wishes to win the ISL shield this season by finishing at the first position for the next big step forward. The Nizams hold the position currently with 13 points collected without losing a game after five matches, four points better than second-placed FC Goa. It is true Manolo Marquez’s men have not won against Jamshedpur FC in any meetings since their franchise’s birth in the ISL although they will be the likeable side to register their first win in this encounter and remind the current Winner’s Shield holders of their statement of intent. Star goalkeeper Laximikant Kattimani’s heroics in the penalty shoot of the ISL final last season gave Hyderabad FC the trophy and he has yet to concede a goal in the last 360 minutes he spent between the sticks. He will be annoyed to break that in his sixth game this season.

JFC vs HFC Team News
Jamshedpur FC have been dealt a major blow in center-back Eli Sabia getting injured which will keep him out for two to three weeks. Pratik Chaudhari will replace him alongside Peter Hartley in the back four. Hyderabad FC have a fully fit squad going into the game bar Rohit Danu out with an injury. Bartholomew Ogbeche began on the bench but should be back in the starting lineup against Jamshedpur FC on Wednesday. He has four goals in six matches facing the Men of Steels in his ISL career.
