Lionel Messi :

Cristiano Ronaldo :



Like Messi, Ronaldo also made his World Cup debut back in 2006. The Portuguese superstar has played 14 matches in the mega event so far and scored only 6 goals in the competition. A record that he will definitely look to improve this time around. His Performance will determine the fate of Portugal's progression in this World Cup.


Andres Iniesta :



The most decorated and experienced mid-fielder, probably playing in his last World Cup. In 2010, his fine strike in the final helped Spain to win their maiden World Cup triumph. Played 10 Matches in the competition and scored 2 goals so far. He will lead the mid-field line of Spain in Russia.


Neymar da Silva Santos (Junior) :



A charismatic striker from Brazil scored 4 goals in the last World Cup. But Injury had forced him out of the crucial semi-final clash against Germany which Brazil lost. He would definitely like to make amends in this World Cup.


Manuel Neuer :



A terrific goal-keeper without a doubt. His outstanding performance in 2014 had helped Germany to clinch the title for the fourth time. His calming influence under the bar will give German defenders lot of confidence.

The average age of Panama’s squad is 29 years 236 days. It makes them the oldest side of this year competition. While Nigeria coming with the youngest side in terms of age. The average age of this Nigerian side is 26 years 18 days, closely followed by France and England.


Egypt's goalkeeper Essam El Hadary(45 years) is the oldest and the Australian forward Daniel Arzani (19 years) is the youngest player in this Competition.

f16 players from the English club Manchester City will take part in this World Cup, which is the highest number of participants from a single club. Followed by Real Madrid they have 15 players.

As a World Cup team, Hungary holds the record of scoring the maximum number of goals in the history of the competition. In 1954 Frank Puskas ‘s side had scored 27 goals.

Lothar Matthaus of Germany played the highest number of World Cup matches (25). As a captain, Diego Maradona holds the record for playing the maximum number of matches (16) in the World Cup.
