The 2022/23 Champions League Round of 16 draw was made on 7th November 2022 to determine the eight group winners facing the eight runners-up of the group stages. Teams from the same group cannot be pair against each other neither the clubs belonging from the same association of their countries. There are six nations representing at this stage of the competition with Germany and England being the highest with four clubs participating while Spain have only representation in tournament holders Real Madrid and France with Paris Saint-Germain. Like Eintracht Frankfurt, Club Brugge are making their debut in the Champions League knockout phase becoming only the second club from Belgium to have reached this stage. The ties will be played over two legs home and away to determine the winners advancing to the quarter final stage of the competition.
