The club also waved goodbye to the retiring Zlatan Ibrahimovic and star midfielder Sandro Tonali who sealed a move to Newcastle this summer.
The Rossoneri will aim for an improvement in the upcoming season with squad-shaking signings expected. For sure, Milan will wish to be on the radar for the Scudetto although the competition has become stiffer than ever. They begin their season with a trip to Bologna on August 20, 2023. Season’s first home game at San Siro is against Torino a week later. Roma and then Inter in the Milan derby are to follow consecutively presenting the side with a difficult start to the campaign. The same could be said about facing Lazio, Juventus and league winners Napoli in October. The final game of the season against Salernitana at home falls on 26th May 2024.
