Arsenal players who could leave in the 2026 summer transfer window

Mikel Arteta's Arsenal finally looks set to win the Premier League title this year. The previous Gameweek was a monumental one in the title race, as Pep Guardiola's Manchester City side shockingly dropped points against Nottingham Forest, and now the Gunners have the upper edge in the title race. It would now be quite a surprise if Arsenal won't end the season without lifting that much-awaited Premier League title.

This article will look at something else though, and that is regarding the players that Arsenal need to sell after this season ends. A recent report from the Telegraph has stated that the Gunners must sell at least one player from their first-team in the Summer to balance out the financial numbers without getting into trouble. We will not be giving our thoughts on this article, but we instead are giving our opinion on the list of players we think Arsenal need to sell after this season ends, regardless of whether the club will need to offload players due to financial difficulties or not.

Ben White

Ben White was one of Arsenal's most expensive signings at the time when the club bought him for £50 million from Brighton in 2021. Many fans even expected him to become a future captain and legend of the club. White was fantastic in his firs few years at the club as well. However, he is now surplus to requirements at the Emirates as Arsenal have arguably the best defense in Europe, and White can't even get into the team despite his versatility as a centre-back and right-back.

Gabriel Martinelli

Gabriel Martinelli has been one of the most loyal servants of Arsenal during the Mikel Arteta era, and he's played a big role in their rise back to the top. However, Arsenal are now a different team from what they were a few years ago. Mikel Arteta's side are now looking to be the best side in the world who can regularly challenge for the Premier League and Champions League. Martinelli isn't reliable at such a level due to his inconsistent performances and poor finishing in high-pressure moments. The time has come for his Arsenal departure.

Martin Ødegaard

Arsenal captain Martin Ødegaard has been shockingly poor for the past 2 seasons. He was once regarded as one of the best attacking midfielders in world football. In fact, a few seasons back, most football fans expected Ødegaard to develop into a world-class player by this time who could reach the level of a Kevin De Bruyne in Man City. That hasn't happened though, and Arsenal might have to upgrade in this position after selling their captain.

Gabriel Jesus

Gabriel Jesus is a great player, and arguably the perfect striker for Mikel Arteta ahead of Viktor Gyökeres and Kai Havertz. However, there was a reason why Pep Guardiola allowed Manchester City to sell the Brazilian striker to Arsenal, and it was due to the simple reason that you can't rely on him for a whole season. Jesus is way too much injury-prone, and the sooner Arsenal get rid of him and his wages, the better for the club.

Kai Havertz

Kai Havertz is another similar case to Gabriel Jesus. The former Chelsea forward has been fantastic whenever he's played this season, but he's another player who keeps getting injured again and again. A decent striker like Viktor Gyökeres who's always present for the whole game and performs well once in a while is arguably better for Arsenal than someone like Havertz who simply doesn't look like he could start 2 games in a row at the moment. Arsenal need to cut their losses on him.
