Once again, they are expected to lock into an intense battle with their arch-rivals, who have gone for a revamp after two trophyless seasons and also brought back Jose Mourinho after 13 years.
Hence, the two El Clásicos of the season could turn out to be title deciders, with the first one hosted at Camp Nou in October, with the reverse one taking place at Santiago Bernabéu in May next year in the fourth-to-last game of the season. Meanwhile, games against Atletico Madrid will be revenge-seeking ones, as Diego Simeone’s side eliminated them from both the Copa del Rey and the Champions League last season. Barcelona will get their season rolling with a trip to Elche on 24 August 2026 before welcoming Athletic Club for their first home game of the season just four days later. The season concludes with a trip to Getafe on 30 May 2027.
