It was announced on Tuesday, 27 March that Julian Nagelsmann will be officially joining Bayern Munich to take the hot seat at the end of this season. He signed a 5-year contract that will keep him until June 30, 2026. After months of speculation, the German giants were able to get 'Baby Mourinho' out of RB Leipzig. Also by doing so, they paid a world-record fee of £25m for a manager. The demand for him to be the next Bayern coach started once Hansi Flick publicly announced that he will be leaving the club after geir game against Wolfsburg two weeks ago.

Bayer Munich's president Herbert Hainer was joyful about having Julian at the club and is expecting big things ahead. "Julian Nagelsmann represents a new generation of coaches," he said in a statement,"Despite his young age, he has had an impressive career. We are convinced that, with Julian Nagelsmann, we will build on the great successes of the past few years."

Another big step for the 33-year-old

It is indeed the biggest decision the promising manager ever made in his career. Starting at Hoffenheim, maturing at RB Leipzig and now set to evolve at Bayern, Nagelsmann is set to make this side greater than ever. Blid firstly reported the mutual agreement between the club and the manager until confirmation was made.

At one point it was looking like that the deal wouldn't go through because of the high demands of RB Leipzig but Bayern created their path to grab the top managerial prospect in Europe. It is to be noted that Tottenham Hotspurs had a genuine interest in Julian after Mourinho got the ax. Even though he is presumably good at English, Nagelsmann always had his heart set on Munich. So it became quite easier at last for both parties.

Hansi Flick's future

Flick's work at Bayern is immaculate. He did a remarkable job by building up a broken side and leading them to a treble-winning campaign. This season they have only Bundesliga title to savior but this won't change the fact how impressive Flick's management is. Despite success at the club, Bayern's internal politics played foul again. Flick's constant disagreement with sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic over transfers and contract negotiations caused him to step down from the role of manager.

However, he is well-positioned now to take the German national team job after the Euros. His former colleague, or boss to be precise to whom he was an assistant, in the 2014 World Cup-winning squad, Joachim Low decided to step down from the role following some underperforming games recently. It could be the start of another great era not only in Bayern but in the German national team as well.

What's next for RB Leipzig?

Well, losing a manager like Nagelsmann is hard considering the enormous job he did over here. Julian transformed a side gunning for Champions League football to an upbeat title contender dethroning the likes of Dortmund and Leverkusen. However, Leipzig need not worry too much because they have another interesting name lined up as Nagelsmann's replacement.

Leipzig have opened talks with RB Salzburg's head coach Jesse Marsch. Marsch had done an incredible job at the Austrian champions, renewing their dominance and playing attractive football. His way of playing suit Leipzig perfectly and it is easier to have the American because Salzburg falls under the club group of the Red Bull ownership.
