The season gets underway at Craven Cottage for Chelsea as they face Fulham on 25 August 2026, which will be their Spaniard boss’s first competitive game in charge of the club.
Their first game at Stamford Bridge is with Brighton & Hove Albion a week later before they head to the Emirates at the start of September for the first real challenge of the season against London rivals and defending champions Arsenal. The Blues will face a tough challenge in October as they face Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United in back-to-back fixtures. The fixture against Manchester City at the start of December will see a reunion with Enzo Maresca, who left the job at the Blues last season due to disagreement with the ownership and stating his desire to manage City, which he does now.
That fixture in the final month of the year comes in a difficult schedule where the club will face Unai Emery’s Aston Villa and Andoni Iraola’s Liverpool in three straight games. The latter is, of course, the former club of Blues' boss Xabi Alonso, who is a legend at Anfield, where he will make an emotional visit in the reverse clash in May next year after another meet-up with Maresca, this time at Stamford Bridge a month prior. Chelsea will play Brentford on the final day of the season in 2027, hoping they will have something positive to say this time.
