Ferran Torres has wasted no time making his mark at Paris Saint-Germain. The Spanish forward produced a sensational European debut as PSG began their Champions League title defence with a stunning 6-1 victory over Slovan Bratislava at the Parc des Princes.
PSG were simply unstoppable in attack, with Ousmane Dembélé also finding the net twice during a dominant first-half display. Torres then took centre stage, delivering the kind of individual performance that will immediately make him a player for PSG supporters to watch closely this season.
The reigning European champions barely allowed Slovan Bratislava to settle, and although the visitors managed to score a consolation goal, PSG continued their assault after the break. Fabián Ruiz eventually completed the rout, but the night belonged to Torres.

Torres didn't merely score three goals. He achieved something no PSG player had ever managed before.
The Spanish forward became the first player in Paris Saint-Germain history to score a hat-trick on his Champions League debut for the club.
That makes his achievement even more remarkable considering the extraordinary attacking talent that has worn the PSG shirt over the years.
The likes of Kylian Mbappé, Neymar, Lionel Messi and Zlatan Ibrahimović all represented PSG in the Champions League. Each produced unforgettable moments and scored plenty of goals for the Parisian giants, but none managed to score a hat-trick in their Champions League debut for the club.
Torres has now done it.
His first goal arrived after Dembélé created the opportunity, before the Spaniard added two more after half-time to complete his treble. He struck again in the 47th and 56th minutes, turning an already dominant PSG performance into a personal landmark night.
A Dream Champions League Debut
The timing could hardly be better for Torres. PSG entered the Champions League as the reigning European champions and are attempting to become only the second club in the modern Champions League era to win the competition three times in a row.
After a difficult start to the domestic season, Luis Enrique's side needed a statement performance in Europe. They delivered one emphatically.
And while Dembélé and the rest of PSG's attack deserve credit for the 6-1 demolition, Torres' hat-trick will be the headline that lives longest.
