In the FIFA World Cup 2026 Qualification (CAF), Algeria were in Group G, where they had to face Somalia, Mozambique, Guinea, Uganda, and Botswana. With eight wins, one draw, and one loss, Algeria finished the group with 25 points, seven points more than the second-placed team Uganda (18 points).
