Bosnia and Herzegovina FIFA World Cup 2026 Qualification

Formerly part of Yugoslavia, Bosnia and Herzegovina are ready to experience their second FIFA World Cup, as they have qualified for the upcoming 2026 edition, which the United States, Mexico, and Canada are ready to host. During the qualifiers, The Dragons finished second in the competitive group stage, and later in the playoffs they edged out their opponents to qualify for the FIFA World Cup 2026.  


Bosnia and Herzegovina started the FIFA World Cup 2026 qualification (UEFA) journey from Group H, where they had competitors like Romania, Cyprus, San Marino, and Austria. With five wins, two draws, and one loss against Austria, The Dragons finished in the second position of the group to qualify for the UEFA Playoffs. During the group stage battle, Bosnia and Herzegovina once thrashed the hosts San Marino by 6-0. 


In the UEFA Playoffs, Bosnia and Herzegovina won both their Semi-final and Final against Wales and four-time World Cup winners Italy through the penalty shootouts, respectively. By winning the playoffs, they ultimately qualify for the upcoming FIFA World Cup.
