The Czech Republic are ready to return to the FIFA World Cup after missing it for four straight editions. After competitive performances in the qualification group stage, Nároďák edged their opponents in the UEFA playoffs to qualify for the upcoming FIFA World Cup edition. 


In the FIFA World Cup 2026 Qualification (UEFA), Czech Republic started from Group L, where they competed with the Faroe Islands, Gibraltar, Montenegro, and Croatia. With five wins, one draw, and two losses, Czechia finished in the second position in the Group L points table to qualify for the UEFA Playoffs. 


In the group stage qualification, hosts Croatia and Faroe Islands beat Czechia, while Czechia had a one home draw in their return fixture against Croatia.
