Senegal are ready to show their magic in the upcoming global competition, FIFA World Cup 2026, as the Lions of Teranga strongly performed in the qualifiers to respectfully earn their tickets for the forthcoming tournament.
In the FIFA World Cup 2026 Qualification (CAF), Senegal were in Group B along with South Sudan, Togo, DR Congo, Mauritania, and Sudan. They finished on top of their group stage points table with seven wins and three draws (24 points). Although the margin was tight with the second-placed DR Congo (22 points), the Lions of Teranga’s unbeaten journey ended the qualification process successfully.
In their first seven games of the qualification journey, Senegal conceded only one goal, while they won by 3-2 in their away game against DR Congo, which was their only other game to concede at least one goal in that qualification process. In the entire qualification, Lions of Teranga scored 22 goals and conceded only three goals.
