Big Man Ronaldo does it Again for Portugal

The Portugal captain scored a scintillating hat trick against Switzerland in the Nations league, the newest competition of UEFA. Portugal defeated Switzerland 3-1.

Portugal defeated Switzerland by 3-1 to reach the finals of the Nations League.
The big match player Christiano Ronaldo does it once again, as he scores a brilliant hat trick and single-handedly takes his side into the Finals. Ronaldo again proved to be the “difference between the two sides”, well this is one statement that football fanatics have heard numerous times but Ronaldo keeps surprising fans over and over again. The Portuguese legend marked his international return with a stunning hat trick against a stubborn Switzerland side to send Portugal in the finals of the inaugural UEFA's Nations league. This was his 10th goal in different international tournaments and he showed the world why he is arguably the greatest player of all time. Ronaldo now 34, proved once again proved that age for great players like him just a number. He may no longer be that 20-year-old boy who made his Portuguese debut with braces on teeth who would go for goal with every pass he got, but still, he remains a force of nature with exceptional abilities that separates him from the rest. The goal of the day came in the 25th minute of the match when Switzerland gave Portugal a free kick, this was Ronaldo’s territory everyone in the stadium knew something special can unfold. Ronaldo came and hammered the ball into the bottom corner and sent his fans crazy with his trademark celebration.



He then netted two more goals in the last few minutes of the match to send the hosts in the finals of UEFA's newest competition. Ronaldo would be hungry to win the finals on Sunday as this would mark the Golden age of Portuguese football under his leadership. Portugal also became the champions of the Euro cup 2016 under Ronaldo’s captaincy, the Portugal team would be looking to emulate their feat again on Sunday. Portugal will either play England or Netherland in the finals of the Nations Leauge. The Portuguese coach Fernando Santos after the match summed up Christiano accurately “ He is a Genius”. Ronaldo surely is a Genius and a role model for every footballer all around the world, he would be looking forward to showcasing his talent on the world stage and lift yet another title as captain.
