Pep Guardiola not keen on signing a new striker as Haaland rumour intensifies

Erling Haaland is the hottest prospect in world football. The Norwegian striker is on the radar of pretty much all the top clubs in the world even at the age of 20.

Halaand's agent Mino Raiola along with the player's father reportedly travelled to Barcelona and then Madrid to discuss a potential summer move for Erling Haaland. Along with Barcelona and Real Madrid, Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea are also interested in the Norwegian's services. Thomas Tuchel, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Pep Guardiola have refused to talk about the deal out of respect for BVB, Haaland and their current players.

Pep Guardiola went on to say "With these prices, we are not going to buy any striker. It's impossible, we can't afford it. That is not going to happen. All the clubs struggle financially, and we are not an exception."

Club legend Sergio Aguero has been confirmed to leave in the summer when his contract expires which leaves a striker spot at City but Guardiola has made it clear that Gabriel Jesus and Ferran Torres have done well in that position in the past.

BVB have set a price tag of 150M for the 20-year-old. Barcelona and Real Madrid remain in pole position to secure the Norwegian's signature despite financial troubles.
